About Social Hub Lund

A community for connection, belonging, and empowerment – built by internationals and locals themselves

Our mission

We create welcoming spaces where people from all backgrounds can find belonging, build meaningful connections, grow as individuals, and contribute to an inclusive and thriving Lund through social connection and cultural exchange.

Our vision

We envision a Lund where all internationals (recruited talents, newcomers, students, accompanying partners…) find a true sense of belonging, create lasting connections, and choose to make the city their home. Together, we help shape a dynamic, welcoming, and multicultural Lund where everyone can contribute and thrive.

Our values

Everything we do is rooted in three core beliefs.

🫢

COMMUNITY

Building bridges through shared experiences

We bring people together across cultures and backgrounds, creating opportunities for meaningful connections, shared experiences, and lasting friendships. Through these relationships, Lund becomes a place where people feel connected and at home.

🏠

BELONGING

Everyone has a place in Lund

We believe everyone should feel welcome, valued, and respected. By embracing diversity and creating inclusive spaces, we help people become active and meaningful parts of the Lund community.

🌿

EMPOWERMENT

Growing stronger together

We support people in sharing their experiences, learning from each other, and taking an active role in shaping their lives in Lund. Together, we build confidence, develop skills, and create opportunities to thrive.

Our story

Today, more than 350 members with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, languages, and life experiences are part of the community. What connects us is a shared belief that meaningful relationships and active participation make it easier to build a lifeβ€”and a sense of belongingβ€”in Sweden.

Social Hub Lund began in 2021 as part of IK Eos’s social initiative, Eos Cares (founded in 2016). In 2024, Social Hub became the international, English-speaking section of Interkultur i Lund, a nonprofit association where members help shape the community.

Since then, Social Hub has grown into a volunteer-led, community-driven space where internationals and locals don’t just participate β€” they help shape the community. Members connect, organize activities, share their skills, and create new opportunities together.
